As part of the Dance and Cinema Day at the Nomadanse 2026 travelling festival, Le Grand Bleu cinema is screening a documentary: Alice, 38, a Down's syndrome carrier and professional contemporary dancer, wants to change the way people look at difference. She is going to become a choreographer and direct ten renowned choreographers in her first show, due to premiere in September 2024. This artistic project confronts her with its intrinsic difficulties, making the success of the project dependent on the adaptation of the choreographers and performers and the resources made available to Alice. Through her life story and the testimony she gives us, a radiant portrait emerges of a determined, proud, independent young woman who challenges all our preconceived ideas about disability. Screening followed by a discussion. Click on the following file to see the Nomadance programme:
