Concert de Clarisse Lavanant avec Philippe Guével

Clarisse Lavanant joins forces with the talented and highly inspired musician Philippe Guével (keyboards, organ) for an unforgettable, spellbinding experience, featuring sacred and secular songs – both traditional and original – in French and Breton.
Together, they bring to life the full power and emotion of the Breton soul, transporting us ‘to the heart of timelessness’, between Celtic heritage and universal expression.
With a mural in her honour covering an entire section of wall at the port of Morlaix (29) and a new music hall named after her in Saint Quay-Perros (22), Clarisse Lavanant is a leading figure in the world of song in Brittany.
Regarded as having one of the most beautiful voices – described as “clear, velvety, powerful and nuanced” – she is also a prolific and multi-talented artist who champions Breton culture. She toured throughout France and around the world with the musical ‘Les Dix Commandements’ (Obispo Chouraqui) before collaborating with Dan Ar Braz for twenty years. She has performed on stage alongside Alan Stivell, Carlos Nuñez, Tri Yann, Gilles Servat, Soldat Louis…
At the Festival Interceltique de Lorient, the Cornouaille in Quimper, the Olympia and the Zénith venues. At the same time, she created the ‘Ronde des chapelles’ (and churches), a tour she is particularly fond of and repeats every year. She has been honoured by the Académie Charles Cros for her vibrant interpretations of the Breton bard Glenmor, to whom she has dedicated a trilogy, and recently received the 13th Andrée Chedid Prize for sung poetry, presented live from the Francofolies de La Rochelle.
Following a foray into cinema with the lead role in the film ‘Noz’, directed by Soazig Daniellou, and the show ‘Coeur de Bretagne’ as the lead performer, she has just released her 13th solo album, comprising, for the first time, original songs in the Breton language.
