Conférence “Regard sur un chef d’oeuvre artistique” – “Les Arts libéraux”

Starting with an emblematic work by a great artist, Christine de Langle proposes to introduce visitors to artistic masterpieces and provide keys to understanding the artists, their environment and their major works. Lecture followed by a discussion. Botticelli, The Liberal Arts. The influx of new knowledge during the Renaissance raised the question of teaching and the subjects deemed essential to a quality education. Botticelli, who was close to the Medici circles of reflection in Florence, illustrates this training of thought through the liberal arts.
