Redadeg 2026: la course pour la langue bretonne
Sports
Ar Redadeg 2026: The race for the Breton language Ar Redadeg is a non-competitive, festive and popular relay race open to all. Thousands of participants: families, children, parents and grandparents run together across Brittany to carry a message in Breton, without ever stopping. The kilometres are sold to individuals, associations, companies and local authorities, with the profits going to fund projects promoting the everyday use of the Breton language. The big winner is Breton! For its 10th edition, the Redadeg will run from Lannion to Nantes from 8 to 16 May 2026, over 2,226 kilometres through the five départements of historic Brittany. This year's theme: "Bevañ, Bodañ, Bezañ" "Live, Gather, Be". The Redadeg will pass through Châteauneuf-du-Faou on the morning of Sunday 10 May, between 6am and 7.30am. It's a great opportunity for local residents to come and cheer on the runners and take part in this great collective display of Breton pride.
