Pépéroni Panetoni, baker in the village of Spalatto, has just inherited the bakery from his late uncle Téobaldo Panetoni. In exchange for this inheritance, he has to give bread to the poor of the village every morning for five years.
"What? Give away my bread? And what else! Poor me! I'm going to end up on the breadline with nothing at all! "

In Spalatto, everyone is a bit of a liar, a bit of a cheat, a bit of a thief, and they arrange their affairs as they see fit. But as nothing ever lasts the same, one day a hermit arrives in the village who plans to put some order into the lives of these little miscreants. This show is inspired by a text by Dino Buzatti, whose truculence we were mischievously drawn to.
