While some, like the storytellers Achille Grimaud and Diane de Bretagne, draw on the abyssal register of the legend of death, others, like the author Dominique Besançon and the illustrator Christelle Le Guen, see in the work of Anatole Le Braz very contemporary and modern ways of thinking about society and human relationships, or our relationship with nature.

They give us a glimpse of a rather avant-garde 19th-century author and thinker, a read that will encourage many to dust off their old books and blow them away in their family libraries, local media libraries or, why not, in some attics.

This year's edition offers a wide range of events based on the themes that were dear to him: the sea, nature, Ys, death, and in the midst of it all, human beings and their beliefs.

Cultural events, shows and storytelling walks will punctuate the very first days of June... Just a chance to see, hear and listen to the echoes of distant stories that speak to us today.
