Superbe coucher de soleil sur la Pointe du Raz et le raz de Sein, dans le Cap-Sizun. La mer déchainée s’éclate sur les falaises abruptes.

Land

Inland Finistère is full of treasures for visitors to discover and admire. In the Argoat region, the Arrée Mountains form a natural border between Cornouaille to the south and Léon to the north. Here, moorland covers the highest ridges, while forests stretch across the plains as far as the eye can see.

From north to south, Finistère is a very green part of France, with sumptuous woods and vast forests of oak, beech and pine. From Cranou Forest and Carnoët Forest to the Névet Woods and Stangala Woods, not forgetting the mythical woodlands of Huelgoat, there’s no end of picturesque spots in which to enjoy an invigorating walk.

Sea

With 2,200 km of coastline, Finistère is the most maritime French department. From its wild little coves and vast beaches of fine white sand to its legendary surf spots and impressive rocky outcrops jutting out into the ocean, coastal Finistère has a seascape to suit everyone.

The islands of Finistère, from those you can walk to at low tide to those that require an hour-long boat trip, have their own particular character. With 360° sea views as their only horizon, these offshore paradises beckon you to unplug, unwind, recharge your batteries and discover new things.
