A beach for every occasion
From stretches of the softest sand under bare feet to secret sheltered coves, Finistère has a beach for every occasion. There are the unspoilt ones, accessible only on foot from the GR®34 coastal path; there are family beaches, such as Sainte-Anne in Saint-Pol-de-Léon, supervised by lifeguards in summer; some are in town, close to lively seafronts where you can enjoy a drink or an ice cream, as in Concarneau or Roscoff; there are a few naturist beaches; and there are vintage-style options with their own beach-huts in Bénodet or Port-Manec’h. The only difficulty is which one to choose, as there are so many, and they’re all so beautiful!

Want to have fun with the kids building huge sandcastles on Pors Carn beach in Penmarc’h? Or chasing crabs in the rocks at Kerleven beach in La Forêt-Fouesnant? Sunbathing, lulled by the sound of the waves, or a seafront yoga session? Surfing the waves when the swell is due west at La Torche? Perhaps a game of beach volleyball with friends? The beaches of Finistère are a perfect backdrop for making memories, punctuated by the play of the tides that mean the landscape is ever-changing and always captivating.
The Blue Flag label
On a Blue Flag beach, safety and accessibility for all are our priorities. The Blue Flag means that a certain number of facilities are always available for the public, such as recycling bins and sanitary facilities to ensure that bathing water is of high quality.
