Agrimer

Plouguerneau-based Agrimer uses raw materials from the sea in order to develop innovative formulas and active ingredients for agriculture, nutrition and cosmetics.

The company supplies over 200 brands, in addition to its own range of cosmetics.

Gonidec and Chancerelle

There’s no point asking Concarneau’s Gonidec cannery or Douarnenez’s Chancerelle cannery to share their secrets when it comes to tinning sardines! They will, however, assure you of the extremely high standards of their products in such attractive tins, standards that come from industry know-how handed down through generations.

Maison Le Gall

You can’t talk about excellence in Finistère without mentioning our butter. Master butter-maker Maison Le Gall has also been honoured with this label, and their old-fashioned dairy products include butters made exclusively in churns.

Krampouz

Krampouz is famous for inventing the hotplate known as a billig, a vital tool for making the incredibly thin Breton pancakes known as crêpes. Throughout the years, they have continued to innovate, now offering a broad range of precision cooking appliances that includes planchas, grills and waffle irons for both professionals and private individuals. Krampouz strives for high-level performance without compromising on the quality or robustness of its products – an expertise that has been nurtured for over 70 years.

Ateliers Le Ber

At Ateliers Le Ber in Sizun, a multi-generational team of joiners, carpenters and sculptors are hard at work using traditional restoration techniques. The workers here have an artistic soul and are passionate about history and heritage, working hard to restore woodwork, mouldings and furniture, old properties, manor houses, châteaux, religious buildings, mills and more.

Chantier du Guip and Chantier Naval Hénaff

These passionate carpenters and cabinet-makers also excel in building and restoring wooden boats, heritage boats, working boats and yachts. Marine carpentry requires complex knowledge and skills, spanning architecture, hydrodynamics and precision wood assembly. The Chantier du Guip in Brest and Chantier Naval Hénaff in Guilvinec master all of these challenges perfectly.

Plastimer

Plastimer shipyard in Penmarc’h was welcomed into the circle of Living Heritage Companies thanks to its capacity for innovation, including the construction of polyester vessels for inshore fishing. Its expertise and development work also includes hull evolution to meet the repair and modernisation needs of professional vessels.

Armor-lux

Another Finistère company, Armor-lux, specialises in manufacturing knitted garments, with an international reputation built on the quality of its textiles and the skills of its seamstresses. More than just a brand, Armor-lux symbolises what the French call l’art de vivre: the art of living.
