Véloroute n°45 La littorale - Pors Poulhan à Pouldreuzic
Following the Bay of Audierne as close as possible to the sea. Great views ahead! Wild nature and breathtaking scenery are the order of the day on this stage of the coastal cycle route. From Audierne, in the Goyen estuary, the cycle route moves slightly away from the coast for the first few kilometres, before coming close again in the commune of Plouhinec, where it skirts the prehistoric site of Menez Drégan, an ancient collapsed sea cave. You pass the cove at Pors Poulhan, which marks the end of Cap Sizun and the beginning of the Pays Bigouden. The stage ends in front of the large beach at Penhors, popular with surfers. Start: Quai Anatole France in Audierne Finish: Pôle nautique à Penhors in Pouldreuzic Marking: Marking on the ground always takes precedence over documents. If there are no markings, follow the path. Difference in altitude: 85D+. Direction of route: Two-way Surface: Stabilised rough / road Practical information : -Public toilets available on the route -Picnic area on the route Advice before setting off : -Make sure you're properly equipped before you set off: check the condition of your bike (brakes, lights, tyres) and make sure you have everything you need for repairs. Wear a helmet: it's compulsory for under-12s and strongly recommended thereafter. Yellow waistcoats are compulsory outside built-up areas where visibility is poor. -Share the road and respect the rules: pedestrian areas, pavements. -Take something to eat and drink with you. Rules and good practice: -Make sure you don't leave any objects or rubbish behind: if there are no bins, take your rubbish with you. -Respect the fragile balance of flora and fauna in all areas. -Respect private property.
