La promenade de Lanorgard

Type de pratique Foot
Durée 03h00
Durée Easy
Distance 11,4 km

Leaving from the lake behind the village church, you'll set off to explore the slightly sloping terrain of the Trévoux commune, following the yellow signposted path no. 1.

From the site of the ponds, this walk takes you around the village, passing through the Lanorgard estate and the villages of Kérambellec, Rosaign, Lann Douar Nabat and Logodec. You'll follow the sunken lanes and small roads, dotted with witnesses to local history... On your way: the restored bread oven, the monastery of the Little Sisters of Saint-François-d'Assise, the church of Saint-Pierre and Saint-Paul and its oratory, listed as a religious heritage site by the municipality of Trévoux. Finally, extend your walk south of the ponds to see the covered wash-house at Trévoux.

Back on the lake, families and walkers can take advantage of the picnic tables, benches and covered shelter for a well-deserved break!

The monastery of the Little Sisters of Saint-Francois-d'Assise once housed a counterfeit money order factory, which was discovered in 1793. Closer to home, between 1948 and 1975, almost 6,000 children stayed at Lanorgard, which had been transformed at the time into an aérium, an outdoor rest home for children and teenagers.
