Circuit Sur les pas de Glenmor (Circuit hiver)
The walk starts from the Sainte-Croix car park in the lower town, along the blue path designed by Kersalé. Surrounded by its two rivers, the Isole and the Ellé, the lower town of Quimperlé is a treasure trove. A journey through the heart of Quimperlé, taking in its rich heritage and architecture: Sainte-Croix church, the Archers' house, the flower bridge...
If you want to take the "Glenmor" chain ferry across to the other bank of the Ellé, you'll have to come back to this walk in the spring, when a new summer loop replaces it. You'll be able to take the shortest cruise on our chain ferry.
A singer, writer, poet, bard and activist, Glenmor is above all an ardent defender of Breton identity. After graduating in philosophy in 1952, Glenmor travelled the world before returning to Brittany to begin his artistic career. With an appearance reminiscent of the ancient druids, Glenmor began releasing albums and giving concerts in 1959. Constantly mixing militant activism, songwriting and songwriting, Glenmor even paid tribute to the memory of the controversial Morvan Lebesque in Hommage à Morvan Lebesque in 1971. Giving up songwriting in 1990, Glenmor died in 1996.
The route is signposted yellow, No. 3.
