Welcome to the Maison du Patrimoine
The Maison du Patrimoine, dedicated to culture, history and discovering the treasures of Concarneau, was inaugurated in 2005.
Since July 2024, it has been open to the public in two locations:
The logis des gardes, built in the 17th century, houses the reception/ticket office and the shop offering exclusive products. It is also the starting point for guided tours offered by the Heritage Department of Concarneau, Ville d'art et d'histoire.
The governor's tower and lodgings, dating from the 15th and 17th centuries, are a privileged access point to the fortifications. Every year, the Maison du Patrimoine houses temporary exhibitions on local heritage.

Located at the entrance to the Ville-Close, the belfry is Concarneau's most emblematic monument, listed as a Historic Monument. Visible from all sides of the town's quayside, it has been the beating heart of the cannery workers since 1906.
The belfry is a landmark, a symbol, a witness to Concarneau's maritime and working class history.
120 years after its construction, it will be restored in 2026-2027.
This is an opportunity for the Heritage Department to put on a brand new exhibition on this monument that is so characteristic of the town.
Immerse yourself in the history of this building, which has quickly become an essential landmark for Concarneau residents and tourists alike. Discover its history and its many representations over the decades: old photographs, postcards, contemporary posters... So many representations of the building that has watched over the town since 1906, interpreted by artist and director Margaux Germain in an original audiovisual creation produced for this exhibition.
