Over the course of its history, the Earth has seen some fabulous landscapes and living creatures that have now disappeared. Fortunately, it is possible to observe their remains in the form of fossils in the rock. The Rade de Brest is an area rich in fossils, allowing us to learn more about the landscapes and animals that lived here nearly 400 million years ago. We invite you to come and discover the rocks and fossils on the beaches of the harbour and discover their secrets to hear the story of a vanished world. In summer, visits to the beaches of Lanvoy, Troaon, Porsisquin and Kersanton on the theme of palaeontology and geological heritage, depending on the programme.
