A new project at Océanolab:
Researchers from the "ALCID (Algae, Climate, Invasives, Diversity)" project are settling down at Océanolab and will be looking to answer the following question: "How will Breton algae, and the living organisms that depend on them, react to climate change?

The aim for the scientists is to understand how climate change, with the rise in seawater temperature, will modify Brittany's seaweed beds. They are also studying the impact of the presence of an exotic species, such as sargassum, in this context.

This unique laboratory will feature 12 tanks containing 7 different species of algae.

Practical information:
The centre is open every day during school holidays and on Wednesdays, weekends and public holidays outside school holidays.
