Vorgium : Archéodémo “On l’a dans l’os”
Miscellineous, Workshops
Discover the art of crafting everyday objects from animal bones, deer antlers or mother-of-pearl: needles, pins, combs, dice, game tokens, etc. The craft of making small objects from bone flourished during the Roman period, spurred on by the expansion of towns and the increased consumption of meat, which provided a raw material that was usefully recycled.
As part of the summer exhibition ‘A salad, Caesar?’
