"After working in metal sculpture, Paul LAVAGEN took up painting in 2001. Gradually moving from acrylics to oils, he has had the opportunity to exhibit his paintings in various venues. He imagines landscapes from elsewhere, blending the abstract and the figurative. He paints directly onto the canvas with his fingers and seeks to create ‘without an image’."
