François Gremaud : Mon Frère

Christian needs no words to tell his story. On stage, his story unfolds in sign language, under the tender and discreet gaze of his brother, the director and actor François Gremaud.

Christian is on stage. He plays Christian, a deaf man. At times he plays François, his brother, the show’s director, and other characters too. Together, they re-enact a story of brotherhood and politics: that of a world where sign language illuminates silence and allows us to see and hear in a different way. For here, disability is not a limitation, but a space for creativity. Through the dialogue between the visible and the audible, Christian and François share a performance in which difference becomes strength, and resistance, a possible joy.
