Exposition au Sémaphore : DE LA NATURE. Escale #5 – Aber Wrac’h gladys sauvage, marie michèle lucas, Marie-Claire Raoul

From the seabed to the shore, traversing different temporal strata, the three artists invite us on a journey exploring fluctuations in sea level, groundwater and forgotten watercourses, as well as the macro- and microscopic organisms that inhabit the ocean. Ancient textile techniques and contemporary media coexist. Poetry and scientific inspiration intersect. The exhibition highlights the constant dialogue that develops between human activities and the natural environment in which we live, questioning the legacy we will leave to future generations.
Organised on the initiative of the Espace d’apparence association, with the support of the Regional Council of Brittany, the exhibition features contributions from the team behind the ANR HABIS research project, based at the Marine Environmental Sciences Laboratory at the European University Institute of the Sea, and from the architect Adèle Lebaudy.
