Concert : Beach and Beatles par l’Ensemble Matheus
Classical music, Concert, Contemporary music
A unique encounter between two icons of Western music: The Beatles, pioneers of rock, and Johann Sebastian Bach, the undisputed master of the Baroque.
A daring musical journey that blends the energy and creativity of two worlds united by the same innovative spirit and boundless imagination.
The Beatles drew inspiration from Bach’s work, incorporating direct references and techniques inspired by Baroque counterpoint into their compositions. Under the baton of Jean-Christophe Spinosi, the 12 musicians of the Ensemble Matheus elegantly weave a dialogue between Bach’s counterpoint and the Beatles’ timeless melodies. By combining period instruments with pop-rock sounds, they create original and surprising harmonies.
