Pi Ja Ma & Ellie James
Concert, Contemporary music
Pi Ja Ma:
As an author, singer, illustrator and even a ceramicist, Pauline de Tarragon creates a world where uplifting songs, gentle cheekiness, poetic imagery and an unconditional love of freedom intertwine. Sensitive and inventive, she embodies a rare approach to pop music.
Her new album “Magnetofille”, accompanied by a new stage production, marks a highly anticipated return: driven by her natural charisma and unique talent, it confirms the scale of the enthusiasm already evident on social media and streaming platforms.
Ellie James:
Drawing on extensive experience in bands such as Mermonte and La Battue, she presents, with this debut solo project, a tangy French synth-pop sound, tinged with nostalgia and melancholy. Accompanied by her trusty synthesisers and her omnichord, she takes great pleasure in realising her childhood dream: singing her songs, alone on stage, in a one-on-one encounter with herself. She draws on a variety of influences to reveal her innermost self and cynically dissect the society around her.
