Mary Bell + Prisonnier du temps
Concert, Contemporary music
Mary Bell (Paris):
Alice Carlier (vocals), Victoria Arfi (guitar), Tristan Badré (bass), Marie Filliette (drums)
It’s a raw, passionate riot grrrl cry, driven by a furious, uncompromising punk/grunge sound.
The band delivers introspective and feminist lyrics, serving as an outlet for anger, frustration and all-too-familiar violence.
Prisonnier du temps:
A new project by Lionel Cadiou, it was launched in 2020. Created alongside Syndrome 81’s debut album, the influences are evident, but so too is a clear desire to create a rawer and more authentic project, a world away from modern productions. Each track has been crafted in a unique and spontaneous way, capturing the energy and uncompromising spirit of early hardcore bands such as Black Flag. Meanwhile, the sombre and disillusioned melodies draw on 1980s British bands such as the Buzzcocks.
