Visite de l’église St Goulven – Journées Européennes du Patrimoine

Traditionally believed to have been founded in the 6th century by Saint Goulven, Bishop of Léon, the present church forms part of a remarkable parish enclosure in Finistère. Its 58-metre-high Renaissance bell tower, built between 1593 and 1638, once served as a landmark for pilgrims. Listed as a historic monument since 1862, it houses a rich collection of antique furnishings, polychrome sculptures and one of the oldest organs still in working order in the department. Situated in the Pays de Léon, it plays a significant role in shaping the local landscape.
