Olivier Ledroit : La Nef des songes
Exhibition, Painting
AN IMMERSION INTO THE WORLD OF A FANTASY GIANT
A pioneer of the Gothic style in comic books, Olivier Ledroit is one of the most influential artists in contemporary fantasy illustration. Through the exhibition ‘La Nef des songes’, the Salle Anne de Bretagne offers an exceptional journey through more than thirty-five years of his creative work.
Taking its title from his latest book, published by Glénat, the exhibition brings together comic strips and illustrations from his most iconic worlds: *Requiem*, *Les Chroniques de la lune noire*, *Wika*, as well as his fairy-tale creations.
Beyond the artistic discovery, the exhibition also conveys a message of solidarity: it features works by Juliette Blanchot and Kyuse, young artists supported by the Olivier Ledroit Association for Comics and Autism. Their works are on display at the Salle Anne de Bretagne and at the Porz Ruz municipal media library, creating a link between the two cultural venues.
Opening on Saturday 21 November at 6.30 pm, attended by the artists. A chance to meet and chat; no book signings are planned.
