Mexican Women Photographers is a digital community founded in 2022 by photojournalist Sunny Quintero. Its aim is to raise awareness of the photographic work of Mexican women who practise ‘street photography’ and ‘documentary photography’ around the world. It is a way of capturing everyday life and showcasing the diversity of the photographers’ perspectives across borders. In doing so, it highlights the cultural richness of our roots by creating a support network amongst women from different parts of the world. This exhibition is the result of the participation of 100 Mexican women.
It is spread across several venues in Cap Sizun: the libraries in Esquibien, Primelin, Cléden-Cap-Sizun, Plogoff and Mahalon; the Point-Croix Media Centre; the Maison du Site at Pointe du Raz; and the ‘third place’ Le Passage in Pont-Croix.
