When he was 10, Matthieu fell off a ladder and became disabled.
25 years later, he’s taking to the stage.
It took a while, but that’s because there was no access ramp.
*En bas de l’échelle* is Matthieu Nina’s first solo show, written in collaboration with Pierre-Emmanuel Barré and Arsen. The tone is unapologetic: black humour, self-deprecation, and a determination to go where ‘one wouldn’t dare’.
Every evening, he tackles what frightens us, what hurts us, and succeeds in making us laugh even in the very midst of pain.
