Hervé Drezen is a French film-maker originally from southern Finistère, born into a family of fishermen from the Bigouden region. After leaving Brittany for a rather unrewarding career in the car industry in Paris, he returned to Penmarc’h in 2006 and turned his hand to filmmaking. A long-time observer of the Breton coastline, which is under threat from erosion and coastal flooding, he has been documenting the fragile boundary between land and sea for several years. His first feature film, *On the Edge of the World*, encapsulates this project to monitor, through film, the southern Breton coastline and the changes it is undergoing due to climate change.
