The SIRENE project (which stands for ‘Hydrogen Injection Solution as an Additive for Reducing Pollutant Emissions from Fishing Vessels’), led by the consultancy firm Laminak Energy in Quimper, aims to reduce fuel consumption and emissions from fishing vessels without replacing their diesel engines.
It is trialling the EcoPro system, which produces hydrogen on board and injects small quantities of it into the engine. The trial has been running since 2026, notably on the trawler Magellan II, based in Guilvinec.

Booking required; limited seating available in the auditorium.
