Since 1994, at the École de Surf de Bretagne – La Torche, we’ve been passionately sharing our love of all things board sports. Located right on the spot, just a few metres from the ocean, we welcome you to the perfect setting to make the most of your sessions. Immediate access to the beach, changing rooms, lockers for your belongings, showers, cycle parking… everything has been designed so that you can focus on just one thing: having fun in the water!

As for equipment: over 250 boards (foam, soft epoxy, shortboards, longboards…) and 400 5x3 mm full-body wetsuits so you can surf comfortably all year round.
Lessons tailored to everyone.

We ensure that every session is tailored to your age and ability:
✔️ Beginners: we’ll teach you the basics in a relaxed and safe environment.
✔️ Intermediate: we’ll help you improve, build confidence and read the waves.
✔️ Advanced: personalised coaching to refine your technique and take your surfing to the next level.
✔️ Wave Garden (ages 5–8): a gentle introduction to surfing – fun, reassuring and tailored to the youngest learners.

Equipment hire (board and wetsuit) and insurance are included in the lessons. At the end of the course, you’ll leave with your surf passport, which is handy for tracking your progress and making it easy to join the group that matches your level on your next course.

The XXIX Surf Camp
Fancy experiencing surfing to the full over a weekend or a week? We offer all-inclusive adult Surf Camps from May to October, for total immersion in the local surf culture.
During the school holidays, it’s time for Junior Surf Camps (ages 12–17), also on an all-inclusive basis.
Our surf house also welcomes you for bespoke stays, with optional lessons and meals, tailored to your preferences.

Surf shop & hire
At reception, you’ll also find our surf shop: everything you need to get out on the water and kit yourself out. We also offer a wide range of equipment for hire, from surfboards to bodyboards, for all ability levels. Our team is on hand to advise you, help you choose the perfect board and give you essential information about the spot before you head out.

Sand yachting
To extend the experience beyond the waves, we invite you to try sand yachting: a unique blend of wind, sand and freedom.
Easy to get the hang of and incredibly exhilarating, it’s an activity that appeals to beginners and thrill-seeking sports enthusiasts alike.
