It's an event that continues to attract the enthusiasm of runners from France and abroad!

1st edition in 2004
Part of the Salomon National Challenge for 5 years (2006-2010).
Voted one of the most beautiful trails in France and the world by numerous trail websites and magazines (Nature trail. Top 100 in the world).
The routes follow the famous GR34 at the tip of Finistère, near Brest! View over the harbour of Brest, the Iroise Sea and its islands! A coastal route, never really flat, quite technical and demanding! Passing in front of and around the legendary Minou, St Mathieu and Kermorvan lighthouses. Passing the beaches of Trez Hir and Blancs Sablons. The Breton heat has been very hot over the last few editions, and yes!
The Trail du Bout du Monde has been a member of the Ouest Trail Tour challenge since its inception in 2009, enabling the best Breton runners to be selected for team participation in an international stage of the world trail circuit. http://www.ouesttrailtour.org/

3000 RUNNERS. Registrations have been closed in just a few minutes over the last few years.
Around 70 French departments and 10 nationalities represented every year!

2 days of races and entertainment
The 11 and 20 km races are scheduled for Saturday evening (6.15pm and 5.45pm) and will take runners to the port of Le Conquet and the surrounding area, starting and finishing at the foot of the Pointe Saint Mathieu lighthouse (Plougonvelin). A pasta party (included in the registration fee) will await runners at the finish.

The two long circuits remain unchanged and will be run on Sunday:
- 37 kilometres (950 D+) starting at 08:45 from the Plouzané Velodrome
- 57 kilometres (1300 D+). Solo and duo races. Start 08H00 Vélodrome de Plouzané
The Plouzané velodrome will be the starting point for the 37km and 57km solo and duo long circuits.
The clos des moines at pointe st Mathieu, Plougonvelin, will as usual host the finish area.
Runners and spectators will find everything that makes this event such a success: the beauty of a listed site, a view of the sea with dolphins and submarines, catering for runners, and free sporting activities for all the family.
Le Bout du Monde is not just about races, it's also a festive and friendly weekend that brings together runners, family and friends. Clubs and associations are welcome to join us for a group outing.
So, on 4 and 5 July 2026, the Pointe Finistère will once again be the venue for the 20th edition of the race, with large numbers of spectators coming to cheer on these lovers of pedestrian effort along the beautiful paths of the Gr34. The Pays d'Iroise is the ideal place to extend your stay, with its many tourist attractions in a beautiful, authentic region.
The Trail du bout du monde is undoubtedly a major asset to the sporting and tourist activity at the beginning of the summer at the tip of Finistère.
