Concert – DEAD BOB (ex-NO MEANS NO) – Rock Indé

Dead Bob is the solo incarnation of John Wright, drummer of long-running punk rock legends No Means No.
Wright has spent 50 years playing drums, 45 years composing, 30 years touring, three years helping robots play punk rock, 30 years brewing beer and a lifetime playing music - in countless bands.
"Dead Bob was, of course, born out of No Means No, it's my heritage, my reputation, and that's great. Without wishing to minimise that, it's also new music. It's a new project. And I wouldn't be going into it if it wasn't new music and a new personal project. That said, we're still playing a few No Means No tracks, because 90% of the audience are No Means No fans.
People are super enthusiastic, and as I said earlier, it's clearly from No Means No, but the sound is completely different. The composition of the band is different, these are new songs, which I think are solid and stand on their own.
And speaking of the stage, when you put a band together, you have to be present on stage, you have to be something, you have to be excellent!"
