Concert – Wolfgang Valbrun

With his fiery voice and magnetic stage presence, Wolfgang Valbrun has established himself as one of the leading figures of a fusion soul style that is intense and deeply soulful.

Born in New York and having settled in France as a teenager, he first made a name for himself on the Parisian scene and then with the London-based band Ephemerals, with whom he toured stages all over the world. He has also collaborated with GUTS, a leading figure in hip-hop production.

As a solo artist, Wolfgang Valbrun delivers an intimate, vibrant and eclectic musical project, blending soul, jazz and rock. His songs explore human frailties, the search for self, love, as well as the social and political tensions of our time. His sensitive and vibrant songwriting is complemented by rich and elegant arrangements.

For his live performances, Wolfgang Valbrun has assembled a team of outstanding musicians from Bristol. The result is a generous and deeply felt performance, carried by a full, powerful voice reminiscent of Gregory Porter’s.
