> Salle Saint Jo in Châteauneuf-du-Faou (behind the Chapelle Notre Dame des Portes) Get together and spend the day in a friendly atmosphere with your painting equipment, sharing the same passion and simply being happy. > You will be welcomed to create a painting or a drawing on a free subject in connection with the heritage of this commune (borough and surroundings) exclusively on the motive. > In the evening, your work will be exhibited and you can take part in the competition (not compulsory) with prizes. Since 1994, Couleurs de Bretagne has been organising painting competitions that are free and open to all, as well as outings for its members, with the aim of highlighting the richness of Brittany's heritage and getting together to share ideas and techniques. Couleurs de Bretagne now organises around fifty competitions every year from April to September, as well as the regional final in October. Every year, around 3,500 artists come together to take part in France's biggest amateur painting competition. They come from all over Brittany, from further afield in France and even from abroad, to paint and draw in good humour during these events, which are co-organised with the towns that host them. In this way, Brittany's towns and villages welcome painters and draughtsmen to showcase their heritage for a day of conviviality and sharing between the participants, the public and the partners. For many, it's also a chance to meet up with other generations. This event, in which artists compete in different categories, depending on their age (for the youngest), their level and the technique used, also offers an opportunity for the less experienced to benefit from the knowledge and advice of the more experienced.
