Dominique Babilotte, Ami remplis mon verre – Jacques Brel

They didn’t even turn up at Fernand’s funeral!
Not Jeff, not Emile, not Fanette, nor Madeleine, Jojo or Pierre – his childhood friends.
So Jacques tells us the story of his life, that of his friend Fernand and his love for Mathilde, through some twenty songs performed against the backdrop of a traditional French bistro. In this bistro, Eric Richard, the landlord, plays the piano. Patrick Fournier, the customer, readily pulls out his accordion, whilst Dominique Babilotte, with her Brazilian-accented voice, fancies herself as the great Jacques.
