Ex Voto – Petite Poissone

How do you turn lead into gold? By putting on an exhibition about your exes. She had to make something of it all. For the past fifteen years or so, Petite Poissone has been sticking up texts in the towns and cities she passes through. They reflect her moods and her thoughts – some more profound than others – in the form of short slogans imbued with melancholy, irony and, at times, unrequited love or extremely radical feminism.
In her constant endeavour not to do what is expected of her, she has devised an exhibition featuring long texts and blurry images. Nevertheless, her two favourite themes are still very much present: love and failure.
