Exposition collective – La beauté du diable

The beauty of the devil… Devil!

Where on earth does Art’Ria find the themes for its group exhibitions…

Beauty doesn’t exist – I learnt that in Philosophy – and yet the history of art is full of attempts to depict it… The devil doesn’t exist… He’s a creation of ‘our’ Judeo-Christian culture. And yet art history is full of attempts to depict this fallen angel and his temptations…

So…

What can a visual artist do with ‘things’ that do not exist?
But the visual artist does have the power to make the invisible visible!

So…

I am sure your responses will astonish and surprise us, and lead us to accept ‘the other’ in all their originality and uniqueness…

That is what we hope for.
