Exposition La sensation du paysage
Exhibition
François Dilasser is by no means an artist of the local or the picturesque, but the fact remains that he has spent his entire life in Lesneven, between land and sea. Consequently, it cannot be denied that this environment, which he loved, had a profound influence on his work from the moment it began to assert itself in all its singularity, in the early 1970s. Here, the notions of abstraction and figuration have little relevance. If we are talking about landscapes, we are talking about mental landscapes, interiorised and rendered in forms and colours that belong only to the painting.
As for the seabirds he liked to sketch during his stays on the island of Batz, they are the perfect example of Dilasser's stroke: falsely hesitant, all at the service of vibration.
Exhibition open during Musée du Léon opening hours: Monday to Saturday: 9.30am-1pm / 2.30pm-6.30pm (except Tuesday in June).
