An internationally-renowned potter, Jean-Nicolas Gérard divides his time between his workshop in Valensole, in the Alpes de Haute Provence, and Porspoder.
Beneath the reds, browns, yellows and blues that add colour and brilliance to his creations, the clay is there, almost still in its raw state, sometimes barely shaped.
