Grande Marée 2026 : Attention Danger ! Chrystel Delpeyroux
Storytelling
As part of the Grande Marée storytelling festival and in conjunction with the exhibition *The Childhood of Villains, Wicked Women and Monsters* at the media centre, we are hosting Chrystel Delpeyroux’s show *Attention danger!*.
Stories for big scaredy-cats and brave little ones
Suitable for families and young audiences aged 6 and over / Running time: 55 mins
There’s the one who’d love to be scared but just can’t manage it, and the big, strong ones who aren’t afraid – though perhaps they really should be! Not to mention the clever little ones who face danger whilst shivering… or not! With all that going on, the Ogres, Trolls and other Horrible Things had better watch out: things are going to heat up for them…
Stories in which the storyteller navigates between the absurd, black humour and philosophical light-heartedness to explore the shores of fear. This show explores the different ways we might respond to fear: denial, repression or acceptance; flight, fight, inhibition or action – whilst also highlighting its positive aspects, and showing how it can be useful if we listen to it without letting it overwhelm us. Fears of the unknown, of the forces of nature, of supernatural beings, of the dark, of not being up to the task… are thus addressed within the safe and reassuring space of the story. For fear is not merely a hindrance, but also, like the story itself, a key to understanding the world, both external and internal.
