Guiomar Campos – Jennifer Dubreuil Houthemann : Déroutes du Geste

A washerwoman, a slate-cutter, a blacksmith… What if the gestures of labour held forgotten stories within them? Blending images, music and dance, this performance brings them back to life.

Drawing on archives from the Cinémathèque de Bretagne, *Déroutes du Geste* explores practices that are disappearing.
From land to sea, from domestic life to transformed trades, these movements resurface, carrying with them a vivid memory. Guiomar Campos and Jennifer Dubreuil-Houthemann create a choreographic tapestry in which bodies re-enact and reinvent these skills. Gradually, a landscape in motion takes shape, bringing to life a presence that is vibrant, intimate and collective. In this poetic journey, the body becomes both a trace of the past and an invention.
