JEP : Patrimoine de la photographie
National day
Discovery of an exceptional photographic collection recently unearthed: nearly 1,500 glass plates taken in the 1920s and 1930s by the photographer Eugène Léon.
Portraits of families, children, newlyweds, scenes from everyday life, celebrations and major local events …
These images offer a rare and moving insight into life in our region nearly a century ago. The result of research carried out by Hervé Maubian, a teacher, this collection will be exhibited at several venues across the town.
A wonderful opportunity to discover our heritage, combining memory, cultural transmission and new technologies, with workshops at the multimedia centre, as part of a special focus celebrating the 200th anniversary of the invention of photography.
