Concert as part of the 17th Petit Festival de Son ar Mein.

La Capriola is a musical and friendly encounter in Lyon (Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse), based on a shared enthusiasm for Renaissance music and for one of its flagship instruments, the violin.
The seventeenth century, and the centuries that followed, witnessed the incredible rise of the violin, which remains one of the most important instruments in the world of music to this day. Although the predominant instrument in this family is still the violino canto (the highest-pitched in the Renaissance), the violino alto and basso have survived, now commonly referred to as the viola and the cello.
From the imposing violino basso to the violino canto, via the viola and the tenore, the ensemble is ready to revive the musical tradition of the violin bands of the 16th century. Created in 2026 in co-production with Abbaye aux Dames.
