An iodine and gourmet immersion at Meneham
4 hours with your feet in the water and your hands in the kitchen to discover Breton seaweed, harvest it, cook it... and taste it.

What if your next aperitif started with your feet in the water?

Experience an immersive adventure on the Meneham foreshore with Nadia Chichiarelli, a professional seaweed harvester with a deep passion for the coastline and its living treasures. Explore a rich and vibrant coastline, identify red, green and brown seaweed, and discover their culinary uses, their benefits and their essential ecological role.
Along the way, Nadia will introduce you to good harvesting practices: observe, touch, smell and taste the fresh seaweed right on the rocks, and learn how to take reasonable quantities and preserve this fragile environment. Along the way, you'll also come across some of the fascinating inhabitants of the foreshore: shellfish, crustaceans, small fish and other marine curiosities that reveal the rich fauna of Brittany's coastline.
But the experience doesn't stop there...

Once you've explored the foreshore, it's time for some culinary delights: grab your aprons! In a friendly, participatory atmosphere, turn your discoveries into simple, creative recipes using fresh seaweed and seaweed flakes. Sea spreads, iodised pesto, seaweed butter and aperitif preparations will extend this sensory immersion into the heart of marine flavours.

The tasting also features a number of Breton producers and artisans present at Meneham: seaweed tartare from Blaz Ar Mor, tsukudani from Bord à Bord, seaweed flakes from France Haliotis, served on delicious bread from Fournil de La Butte, accompanied by homemade lemonade from Madame Pik Pik.

✨ Gourmet bonus: leave with your own jar of seaweed culinary creations to wow your next guests!
