Merwan Mazloum was born on 4 October 2001 in Strasbourg and began learning the piano at the age of 4. He entered the Strasbourg Conservatoire at the age of 9, and is currently studying for his 3rd year degree at the HEAR in Amy Lin's class. He has also taken part in numerous masterclasses with pianists such as Cyprien Katsaris, Jean-Philippe Collard and Jan Michiels. Merwan Mazloum has won several prizes, including that of the Académie musicale de France and the ABRAPA chamber music prize. He gives regular concerts in Strasbourg, performing major works from the piano repertoire, notably at the Paroisse Saint-Guillaume. In 2019, he was invited to perform as a soloist with the HEAR orchestra in Strasbourg and gave recitals at the Austrian Embassy in Strasbourg and at the Musikhochschule in Freiburg, where he was awarded the Ernst Seidel Stiftung scholarship.
