Rosemary Standley & les musiciens de Saint-Julien

Born out of the convergence of the worlds of Rosemary Standley (Moriarty), François Lazarevitch and his Musiciens de Saint-Julien, *The Last Rose* explores the rich interplay between folk music and early music through Anglo-Celtic ballads. These songs, collected in the second half of the 19th century by Francis James Child and Cecil Sharp, have spanned the centuries and crossed borders, sometimes made famous by artists such as Joan Baez (Henry Martin) or Simon & Garfunkel (Scarborough Fair).
