What if an item you thought you were going to part with still had a wonderful story to tell…
That’s the challenge the Adimplij Recycling Centre in Plouguerneau has set itself since 2017. Here, nothing goes to waste… or almost nothing!
But what happens to the items dropped off once they’ve passed through the depot’s doors? You’re no doubt familiar with the recycling centre’s shop… but do you really know everything that goes on behind its doors?
Throughout the year, around forty volunteers and two staff members give of their time, energy and expertise. Sorting, repair, upcycling and reuse: every item follows a journey that allows it to find a new purpose and a new home. To mark the Economic Tourism and Skills Weeks, step inside Adimplij and take a look behind the scenes at a local initiative committed to the circular economy. A unique tour to understand how yesterday’s waste becomes tomorrow’s resources.
Booking essential. The funds raised will be donated to the Brittany Heritage Foundation.
