Every year, Son ar Mein organises the Petit festival de musiques en Trégor, a small music festival held at the beginning of July in around fifteen rural towns.

Childhood is reputed to feed on imagination. It's to these fleeting qualities of the mind that the Petit festival devotes itself, either by focusing on works by young people, or by opening up to projects that ignore style or genre: juggler musician, storyteller musician... Based on Fénelon's novel, Télémaque recounts the adventures of Ulysses' son in words and music. Young musical collectives with solid reputations are linking us to distant eras through new forms that revisit musical literature and myths. The string quartet Les Récréations pulls a thread from Palestrina to Johann Sebastian Bach, while the impressive Odile Edouard delves into a skilful genealogy of the violin repertoire. But not all childhoods are happy ones. We follow the story of Henriette of England, neglected from her early years at the French court. For a long time, music was her only luxury.
