Blaz an Douar traces the history of agriculture in Brittany, taking the region of Léon as its example, from the Second World War to the present day. First and foremost, it is intended as a tribute to the farmers – those who work the land – who, through their boldness, determination, tenacity, motivation and hard work, have succeeded in modernising and developing agriculture and livestock farming in Brittany. But this play also tackles the sensitive issues of the environment and the productivity-driven agri-food model. The story – An investigative journalist comes to interview a farmer who has witnessed the evolution of agriculture and rural life since the 1940s. The rural revolution!
