Abbatiale Sainte-Croix
Historical sites and monuments
Sainte-Croix Abbey church, listed as a historic monument, dates from the 11th century and is one of the most remarkable in Brittany (on account of its circular layout). The monks’ choir and crypt are jewels of Romanesque art, left undamaged when the bell tower collapsed. Do not miss: the oldest “Entombment” in Brittany (c. 1500) and the limestone altarpiece, a major Renaissance work (1541).
Guided tours every day in summer, free visiting throughout the year.
