Next to the Château de Roc'h Morvan, the parish enclosure at La Roche-Maurice has a wealth of treasures in store for visitors!

The current church, dedicated to St Yves (patron saint of judges and lawyers), was built in the 16th and 17th centuries, on the site of the former medieval castral chapel.

Despite the extraordinary finesse of the carvings on the south portal and the double-gallery bell tower, considered to be one of the finest in the Léon region, it's inside the church that you'll be most impressed, starting with the polychrome oak rood screen with its grotesque figures, the sablières combining religious and secular scenes, and the large stained-glass Passion window created in 1539 (the 2nd largest stained-glass window in Brittany at 21.05 m²).
The Renaissance stained glass bears witness to the Flemish influence on Breton art (in the 16th century, Brittany was a major trading centre between the Netherlands and Spain).

Built a few decades later, in 1639, the ossuary is a jewel of the Leonardo Renaissance. Above the font, the Ankou clearly announces his purpose: "I kill you all".

In July and August, visit the parish enclosure with a volunteer guide from the SPREV.
Outside summer, guided tours by prior arrangement with the APEVE association.
